Problem Statements for IRC Internationals

This year’s theme of IRC Internationals is Bot Olympics. We want children to be the best they can be and come up with agile, audacious and resolute robots which can compete in the true Olympian sense. The purpose is to inspire and motivate the youth to design and build robots which can withstand the trials and tribulations of the elite competition.

There are different problem statements for Junior, Middle and Senior levels as follows:

Junior Level

Stacking is a sport where the team needs to stack different things in a defined scheme and complete the task in given time. The objective is to design two manually controlled robots that can make stacks of different designs and formations in the designated area in the minimum possible time.

Middle Level

A Kart Race is run on a track on which the driver drives their karts at a pre-set distance while avoiding various hurdles in their path. The objective is to build autonomous and manual race "kart" robots which need to avoid the objects placed on the track in the fastest possible time.

Senior Level

A hurdle race is a track and field event in which athletes run a pre-set distance while avoiding various hurdles in their path. The problem statement here is to build autonomous robots with the capability to race past hurdles.
